Easter Part 1 (Saturday)

We spent Saturday getting ready for our Easter Sunday. One of my favorite parts of the day... coloring eggs. It's always a little adventure with this guys. I thought--in my mommy brain-- that a new kit with paint rollers would get them all excited. That turned out to be a big flop. None of the paint worked and they all complained and told me I'd picked the worst kit ever. Luckily, a friend gave us a regular dye kit that I was saving as backup--thank goodness I did! Then the fun started...

So lesson learned for next year-- don't try to force creativity on my kids. They will get creative enough with a regular dye kit, no fancy roll on paints needed here!

Chic Tags and Maya Road

maya road

We got some fun Maya Road product to work with this week and I couldn't stay away from it. I just adored this burlap ribbon and I thought it would look nice to keep the chipboard words naked to go with that natural feel that the burlap gave. The tags and paper are from Chic Tags and the ribbon, twine, chipboard, metal, and mist are all Maya Road.

It's friday night and we are gearing up for a weekend of cleaning--yep, it's spring cleaning time and we have sooooo much to do! Have you started your's yet? Well, I'm jealous if you have!

Tags, colors, twine, and gems!

happiness starts here 2

These are some of my favorite things, not just on cards, but layouts, gifts, boxes of goodies, etc. They are just so fun! This card is mostly made with Chic Tags goodies! Look at those yummy labels! There are so many fun colors it's hard to choose. The twine is from May Arts, gems from Doodlebug Designs and the buttons are from my button stash. I think these colors are so dreamy!

Have a great night everyone!

And I'm back!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous holiday and a great new year. I always love the start of the new year--fresh goals, a fresh start. We've been busy around here--really busy. But we had a blast during Christmas and my parents came to visit during New Years so we've been having so much fun. This is our family picture that we used for our Christmas card this year. I thought it turned out so cute! And I had us wear the same colors that are in my living room so that it will match my decor! haha

thanks for everything bow
I'm loving the teal, yellow, and black color combo right now-- it looks so fresh and put together. I used some prima flowers and some older Maya Road pins and paired them up with Echo Parks papers.

diecut thank you
So I have a little love affair with my Sillhouette--I can't help it. If you have one, you know what I'm talking about! Look at this cute diecut thank you card? I embellished it with some BasicGrey papers, Prima flowers, and some Maya Road ribbon.

Have a great day! My little ones are coming home from early release today, I better find something for them to do!

It's Halloween!

I can't believe how fast the days are flying by--it's already Halloween! It's my favorite holiday and we've had so much fun this month making spooky stuff and eating creepy snacks. I created a couple Halloween cards for you today--

I'm loving my Silhouette-- and I have been for years, but I've been using it a lot more lately! I'm always finding new ways to use it! And I just fell in love with this Frankenstein! Isn't he cool?

Sorry I've been MIA lately--just some little health problems, three boys, and life! But I want to get back on track with my blogging!

Here's my boys all dressed up for Halloween!

I hope you had a great Halloween!

I can't believe it's almost July! The fourth is coming up and I'm so excited, as are my boys. Every time we drive past a fireworks stand they almost pee their pants with excitement! They have even saved up a little of their chore money to buy their own fireworks--I'm sure they can get some snakes or sparklers for a dollar or two! ;) (anyone else  love Joe Dirt? snakes and sparklers... haha)

We have been busy this past month--a trip to Utah to visit family, school ending, painting my living room, and dealing with the heat! But I'm finally able to make a post!

Here's some cards I've been working on--I love these new stamps from Hero Arts. I was skeptical at first, I thought they kinda looked like they would turn out funny, but they are fantastic! They look like real splattered paint!

 every little thing

And Here's a card using some Hexagon stamps also by Hero Arts--

hexagon hello

I hope you get the chance to play in the sun today--maybe break out that slip 'n' slide. That's what we are doing! First, off to slather some sun screen on this pale body!
