Red, white, and blue

Happy Fourth Everyone!!

I hope your day was filled with BBQ's, fireworks, and family!! We just love packing up the family and heading out to see the Idaho falls parade and fireworks. Logan was still too scared to get close to the parade, but he talked about it all day! We enjoyed a BBQ of hamburgers, hotdogs, watermelon, cherries, chips and dip.... and peach pie for dessert! YUM! another reason to LOVE this holiday!

In honor of the 4th, Jennifer asked me to create a patriotic photo card for the Hero Blog! Here's my take on the challenge:

Enjoy your holiday!!

I'm Transformed.

Logan got out some road cones and stuck them on his hands along with my salad spinner for a hat and ran around the house making gun noises. Then he'd say (in his best robot voice) "I'm Transformed!" He means he's a Transformer. haha He's never seen it or even the cartoons, but he thinks that's the name for a robot. Then Landen had to join in. He's so funny cuz he just runs after his brother copying everything he does. so cute.

Finally feeling a little creative today--so I gotta go get some fun stuff made!! Here's my CPS card for the week. We were sponsored by Renaissance by Design. I love that little notes stamp--perfect for any kind of card! Oh, and have you seen those darling new diecuts from K&Co?? Just snagged me some. That's where the apple and flower are from!

And a random fun one using my Core'dinations paper.

Off to play with my scrap goodies!!
have a fantastic day!!

mud, rocks, weeds, and pink bicycles

We're STILL trying to weed, and de-rock our backyard so that we can start laying down sod. It's the never ending job. I swear the land out here is a layer of rock, then a thin layer of dirt, then about two feet of solid rock. We don't have to get all the rock out, just the big ones, but there's sooo many of them!! Anyone want to come work?? haha

Logan has been OBSESSED with this pink bicycle that grandma has at her house. I swear he'd pick it over any boy bike!! He's secretly getting a bike for his birthday in a month, so we're excited to see him on something other than a barbie bike!

I really needed to make more "boyish" cards for my stash, so here's some that I came up with!
Have a wonderful day--go ride your bike!

Make New Friends

We were invited to a little pool party with our new neighbors. They have the sweetest little girl. I was watching them splash each other and play tag in the yard and I was amazed at how fast children make new friends. All it takes is, "Hi, I'm Logan!" and poof!, instant friend. I wish my life was still like that. Logan kept talking about the kids he met all day long. Everyone is his "best friend"--makes me giggle when he says, "She's my best friend in the whole world!" how great is that??? Everyone wants a friend right?? Aaaa, to be a kid again!

Shari Carroll is hosting the Hero Arts Blog this week and she's talking about color combinations. It's really fun to see what everyone has come up with! Shari's soooo good, and I always get a kick out of seeing the creations she makes!! amazing. Here's a layout I made using the yellow and purple combination. (those are my sweet niece's tiny feet!!)

Here's a card I made using the new Friends sentiments by Hero Arts. you can find more information here.
I hope you have a great day and make a new friend!! :)

Tickles and German Chocolate Cake

We had a wonderful father's day as I hope you did too! I always let Brandon pick two or three desserts he wants me to make. It's a good excuse to bake.. and to eat! hehe This year he picked Key Lime Bars and German Chocolate Cupcakes. It was the perfect quiet day filled with breakfast burritos, church, gummy dinosaurs, chinese food, presents, sunglasses, and lots of tickle fights! My boys just adore their dad... as do I!

Here's a couple projects to share. I've been having fun with my pictures and I got a couple more layouts done.

Love that apple stamp and that sentiment stamp from Hero Arts.
And here's one of some older pics of my Logan mixin' up some brownies!!

Have a fabulous night!!

A ray of sunshine

This is our first sunny day in three weeks. My goodness, it's JUNE! You'd think we'd be dying of heat by now. But not this year. We haven't had a chance to do any yard work or anything in forever. Next week should be sunny though so we're looking forward to that. Maybe we'll get our sod and have a yard to play in!! My boys won't know what to do with themselves!

It amazes me how much "stuff" I have in my scrap room. I really need to start using it all. I usually stick with my basics and I need to dig into my stash! Here's a couple cards where I did that:

Both used Hero Arts stamps and Core'dinations Cardstock!!

Have a great day!

Can't beat a free movie!

Today I'm taking Logan to the movies for their free childrens summer movie program. I love movies, so I'm excited to go as well. He even picked out his favorite candy--Nerds. Gotta have them! I think they're showing Veggie Tales. It should be fun to go just the two of us!

I'm such a slacker. I totally forgot to post my Core'dinations monthly projects. Have you had the chance to try their cardstock?? YUMMY. You have to! It's the coolest! Especially when you use your cuttlebug!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!
